Mayor and Delegates from Sunset Hills Visit FPE Automation's Missouri Technology and Training Center

FPE Automation Opens One of the First Authorized Industrial Automation Training Centers in the United States

FPE Automation has opened its second authorized high-tech training facility, in Sunset Hills, Missouri, just outside St. Louis. The spacious facility features several full robot training stations in a large training room, where hands-on training will take place. Each station has a collaborative robot arm and vision. The facility also has a separate, high-tech lab which includes robots and 3D vision. It is among of the first of its kind in the world.

The Mayor of Sunset Hills, Pat Fribis, along with several Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development professionals and FPE Automation loyal customers were in attendance. Pictured left, FPE Automation's Kurt Vaeth teaches Mayor Pat how to program a Universal Robot Collaborative Robot Arm.

Guests toured the newly-opened facility and saw vision systems, autonomous mobile robots and quite a bit of other cutting edge factory automation technology on display.

Introducing the MiR250 from Mobile Industrial Robots

The most agile AMR yet. From Mobile Industrial Robots.

New product announcement:

This month, Mobile Industrial Robots unveiled its newest robot, the MiR250.

The MiR250 has a footprint of 580 x 800 mm (approx. 23 x 31.5 inches) and a height of only 30 centimeters (less than 12 inches).

It's compact, but powerful.  The MiR250 can move as much as 250 kg (over 500 lbs.) with a speed of 2 meters/second, or 6.56 feet/second. This makes this AMR more agile than any other on the market and highly adaptable for challenging environments.

Thanks to the small footprint, it can drive through spaces as narrow as 80 centimeters/3.15 inches. So, doors and elevators that can be an obstacle for other mobile robots, are not a problem for the MiR250.

The MiR250 is constructed for long lifetime, easy serviceability and work 24/7 with the option for fast battery swap. It has been designed according to current applicable safety standards.
