Is Automation a Good Fit For Me?

Case Study: FPE Automation's Handshake Solutions

You've probably seen the impressive case studies, trade show demos and proof of concepts. They're all great!

The problem is, you may walk away from those asking yourself, "will that automation really work for me?" The only way to know for sure is to step out of the conference room. Let's go on a quick tour! In this series, FPE Automation is going live. We're visiting actual customer sites to look at automation similar to what you may be considering. Places where they took advantage of FPE's Handshake Solutions for implementation and support. We're going deep into the trenches! These are live production environments. They are rugged and noisy. The goal is to show you how automation works in real life. FPE Automation Handshake Solutions are nearly endless in scope and possibility. We can help you automate vision systems, robotic pick and place applications, palletizing, welding, machining, sanding and grinding, logistics and more, just to name a few. To learn how we can help you make automation a reality for your business, visit https://www.fpeautomation.com/handshake-solutions/ With robotic integrations becoming more and more straightforward, you may opt to handle the project yourself. If you don’t have the resources in-house, or the time, you can choose to rely on FPE Automation for expert assistance. For more complex applications, or when there is already a turnkey solution out there that is right for you, FPE Automation has established relationships with trusted organizations, who can offer even more in terms of possibilities. You may need a Certified Systems Integrator (CSI), or it may benefit you to partner up with an independent, not-for-profit group like the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC). Whatever your requirements are, FPE Automation can help you to get started.

Automation in the Packaging Industry

OEM packaging equipment, machinery, processing equipment, conveyor equipment, and high-speed palletizing are key areas for improved automation.

Packaging EquipmentYou've probably heard - automation is making headlines for the transformative effect it is having on today's manufacturing processes. Companies are using new innovations to do less with more, combat ongoing labor shortages, improve quality and save money.

Few industries have benefited more from the latest technological advances than packaging. This month alone, FPE Automation has received five Top Performer Awards from partner PHD, Inc. for innovations. All five were for solutions in packaging equipment manufacturing.

That's compelling.

New Product Launch: Meet the MiR600 and MiR1350

MiR Announces Two New Upgraded Autonomous Mobile Robots: Introducing the MiR600 and MiR1350

This just in from Soren Nielsen, President, MiR

Mobile Industrial Robots A/S (MiR) just announced the arrival of the new MiR600 and MiR1350 models! The MiR600 and MiR1350 are next-generation AMRs that maximize the efficiency of internal logistics and material handling operations.

The two robots can pick up, transport and deliver pallets or heavy loads automatically even in highly dynamic environments. They are a safer, and more efficient, alternative to traditional forklifts and trucks. With payloads of 600 kg and 1350 kg, respectively, the MiR600 and MiR1350 are powerful AMRs that can be used in a broad range of transportation tasks throughout manufacturing and logistics.

Stronger. Safer. Superior.
While MiR's new heavy-duty robots look a lot like other AMRs on the outside, they have been upgraded b
oth in terms of quality and reliability. The MiR600 and MiR1350 are industry-grade robots designed for a long lifetime in industrial environments. The two robots have improved chassis and bogie to withstand the high payload. All components are industrial quality and protected, and easily accessible for service via pullout compartments.

The MiR600 and MiR1350 are designed to comply with the highest available safety standards, making them superior to other AMRs. The two robots are the first IP52 rated AMRs on the market. This means that they have the ability to withstand dust particles and waterdrops and can be used in more challenging environments than other AMRs.

The increased payload, industrial design, and the IP52 rating open up for even more applications for the new robots.

FPE Automation, authorized MiR experts, are excited to be offering both. Contact FPE for details.
