New 65Ps Polysulfone Couplings from LinkTech

New to the LinkTech Catalog: 65PS Series

Highest available flow now offered in polysulfone couplings!
Discover our New 65PS Series couplings which offer 1/2" flow capacity and are manufactured from high performance thermoplastic Udel Polysulfone. 65PS couplings have a full flow, non-valved, smooth internal bore that doubles the flow of the 60 Series with minimal turbulence. These autoclavable couplings are extremely durable and withstand chemical resistance. 65PS Series couplings interconnect with 65GP Series as well as other compatible plastic latch type couplings.

65PS Series features include:

  • high performance polysulfone
  • full flow smooth internal bore
  • available in 6 different styles
  • high temperature, durable thermoplastic
  • doubles the flow of 60 Series
  • unique panel mount plug configuration not offered anywhere else

From Piab: New Friction Cup Range Keeps Every Sheet Safe

Six new cups keep a tight hold on extra thin and shaped sheet metal at higher stroke rates.

Expanding its family of DURAFLEX® friction cups, Piab is making sure that they meet emerging market requirements, and are able to offer the best and safest possible solution for any type of sheet metal handling. Safer handling of often oily sheets offers the opportunity to increase the number of strokes per minute in stamping, cutting, bending, and punching machines, making for more cost-effective and productive press shops.

The new range comprises three BFFT (Bellows Flat Friction Thin) cups, a design specifically developed to provide ultimate grip on extremely thin sheets without the risk of denting the delicate surface. Sheets of thicknesses down to 0.6-0.8mm can be safely handled by the new friction cups.

Complementing the BFFT cups are three DCF (Deep Concave Friction) cups, designed to meet the requirements of the next production step within, for instance, the automotive industry, when the flat metal sheets are turned into curved body parts. The three new DCF cups provide maximum hold on parts with a concave or convex surface.

These new cups are broadening the performance range of our friction cup family, which already offers so many important advantages compared with other solutions. For instance, our friction cups are extremely durable and will keep their excellent grip performance throughout their entire life, whereas competing cups often deteriorate quickly,” says Josef Karbassi, Vice President of Piab's Automation Division.

Combining the properties of polyurethane with those of rubber, Piab's friction cups display exceptional elastic memory and press oil resistance, enabling them to keep their shape and remain in good working order. Competing cups are prone to losing their memory i.e. their shape with increasing age and usage.

In addition, Piab offers a multitude of accessories including many different fittings meeting various standards, advanced plastic fittings of reduced weight, mounting brackets and quick release T-adapters.

Four Things You Probably Didn't Know About Convergent Sensors - by Ramco/Optex

Convergent Beam Sensing Solutions

What is Convergent Beam Sensing?

Convergent beam sensors have a lens arrangement that concentrates the emitted light on an exact point in front of the sensor and focuses the receiver element on that same point. This produces a small, intense and well defined sensing area at a fixed distance from the sensor. Convergent sensors provide very high excess gain for sensing low reflective targets.
Convergent Sensor Sensing
Area Four Advantages of Convergent Beam Sensors:

1. Very effective for small object detection
2. Great for accurate detection of radiused targets
3. Can be used in most mark sensing solutions
4. Can be used for accurate parts positioning
